Being fairly new as a freelancer Im getting used to the majority of my calls being by someone trying to sell me advertising space or trying to tell me that I can’t be found on google or other search engines.

The later is not only annoying but actually contradicting them selves?! Now, I understand I can do so much better in google than I am currently doing, but when they ring me up and tell me that I cant be found by prospective clients, puzzles me!

“How did you find this number to contact me!?”

“On google, on freeindex.co.uk…..etc….”
So…. I can be found on google and the internet then!

Stop calling me to tell me you can’t find me! – Thanks

It does seem sort of ironic that a company who found you online is trying to sell a service that lets people find you online.

The only sites that get emails saying “we can’t find you online” are the ones that are easy to find online. Bizwiki receives numerous emails like that daily. Thankfully we’ve not had to deal with calls! You could always try coming up with a strategy such as either immediately hanging up or putting them on hold for an hour and then hanging up or go on the offensive and see if they’re interested in your services. Turn the tables and see how quickly they hang up on you.
